Description
Note: This unit has been upgraded
with a
new, latest generation GPS receiver module from ublox. It
is therefore unaffected by the September 18th 2022 week
number rollover event that caused most SyncServers to fail
to sync to GPS and eventually to show an incorrect date.
The
new card is good for accurate GPS time and date reception
until 2037.

Powered version of the S200. It operates on
40-60V DC and it will not operate on AC power without an
external DC power supply ***
Here's a never deployed, new-old-stock fully working
SyncServer S200-DC NTP server that obtains highly accurate and
traceable time from the GPS satellite constellation.
This is the DC-powered version of SyncServer. It will not work
on 115/230V AC. No AC to DC power supply is included
- it requires 40 - 60V DC at 1.5A. It has been tested to confirm
that it is fully working - see screenshots below from the
testing of the actual item for sale. This unit has the standard
TCXO
oscillator installed for free-running operation. The unit
is in mint cosmetic condition and the VFD display is of course
bright and
clear. The photos show the actual item for sale. No
antenna is included, but I usually have the OEM matched type
listed separately. The antenna voltage is 12V so you
cannot use one
of the generic 5V antennas commonly offered for sale. And for
best results the antenna needs to be mounted outside with a complete
view of the sky. The unit has been reset to the factory logon
defaults (logon with admin:symmetricom) ready for your install.
The installed firmware is v1.36 which takes into account the
April 2019 GPS epoch roll-over and prior leap second

Assured Perfect Timing
The Stratum 1 level S200 derives extremely
accurate time directly from the atomic clocks aboard the GPS

operation by retrieving time from other user-designated time
servers. All SyncServers can be upgraded to an internal Rubidium
atomic oscillator to keep the time server accurate if the GPS
signal is lost.
