Description

This is the hard to find part that you need to repair some Culligan water filter/softener units. Use the images to check that this matches the old part from your system.

The installation instructions may be obtained here - https://www.prostudioconnection.net/2103/Culligan_Instructions.pdf

Like most Culligan stuff, it's a proprietary design so you are locked into using them to get your unit back up and working again. This part should therefore save you a lot by doing the job yourself.

These seem to jam every few years (depending on the condition of your water). The rubber seals gradually become stiffer which impedes the movement of the plunger, and eventually the torque of the motor driving the plunger in and out can no longer move the piston, at which point the unit stops working and gives an error code.

The fix is to pull out the valve assembly and replace with the parts you see here (after a liberal application of silicone lubricant). There's a few YouTube videos showing the job in detail.
